My Services
In any stage of divorce, having a strategic partner beside you makes all the difference–empowering you with clear thinking, calming emotional support, practical guidance, and creative solutions. I am that strategic partner.
As a family law attorney, what sets me apart is my emotional intelligence and pragmatic style, and I bring these same traits to my coaching clients. If you are considering, or in the midst of, divorce, I am here to help you navigate this difficult season of life with courage, clarity, and optimism —including everything from managing the emotional toll of divorce, to getting a grasp on financial circumstances, streamlining interactions with attorneys, and working toward personal goals to find happiness despite divorce.
Some of the practical tasks I help clients with include:
- Facilitating emotional processing, including around shock and grief;
- Assisting clients to determine what is most important in the divorce process and how to communicate their needs;
- Providing (non-legal) guidance on important decisions related to the client’s life and future;
- Gathering and organizing financial information;
- Strengthening communication skills, including drafting/responding to emails and other correspondence in high-conflict situations; and
- Serving as an accountability partner for personal well-being and goals.
While I do not provide legal advice to coaching clients, I do leverage the extensive knowledge I have from 15+ years as a family law attorney to help clients make sound decisions and participate in their legal process (mediation, settlement negotiations, or litigation) in a way that is more efficient, cost-effective, and reduces stress and conflict.
Packages
Coaching is most effective if conducted consistently over a reasonable period of time, so I currently offer 12-session and 6-week intensive packages, in addition to the option for as needed individual sessions.
The 6-Week Intensive Package is designed for clients with pressing or specific issues (such as navigating telling your spouse you want to separate or finding out that your spouse wants a divorce, or making a big decision in your life or divorce case, or navigating communication with your spouse or co-parent about a specific issue or disagreement), or those who want to experience coaching with less commitment. This package includes:
- 6 weekly virtual meetings (or calls)
- Email access to Liz for questions and follow-up between sessions
- Resources from Liz related to your questions, challenges, and goals
- Accountability follow-up by Liz
The 12-Session Package is the recommended package for those looking to proactively address the many issues—emotional, financial, personal—that inevitably arise leading up to, during, and after divorce or separation.
- 12 60-minute virtual meetings (or calls) to use anytime over 6 months, which can be staggered as best suits your needs (the sessions can start out as weekly or bi-weekly and transition to once per month, or vice versa, depending on pressing issues and/or specific needs, etc.
- 6 months of email access to Liz for questions and follow-up between sessions
- Worksheets and materials developed by Liz to help you gather information and identify resources, goals, and strategies
- Additional resources and referrals to other professionals
- Accountability follow-up
Individual Sessions: 60-minute session as needed to address an acute issue or area of concern.
